Savennières Clos des Perrières AOC 2016
In the Loire Valley, Savennières is a little appellation that produces great wines. Le Clos des Perrières is a 1.80 hectare vineyard in the centre of the village of Savennières, a Unesco World Heritage Site.
Its location and three soil types (sand, volcanic stone, shale & granite) provide this location with exceptional potential; we like to call it our garden.

Savennières Clos des Perrières AOC 2013
"The range of aromas seduces more by its depth than by its exuberance. The subtle nose develops hints of lemon verbena. The mineral and flint profile brings complexity. The finish is subtly woody without impacting the freshness. The mouth is generous and firm at the same time, the mineral bitters rival with the full-body all along the tasting. The mouth ends with a salty print, reinforcing the persistence of the wine."
Grape: 100% Chenin Blanc.
Viticulture: The vineyard is run under Integrated Pest Management with no plant protection products or synthetic fertilizers.
Harvest: 3 selection stages - Harvesting is done by hand in small 25 kg crates; all fruits are sorted in the vineyard before being sent in whole clusters to be pressed.
Vinification: fermented and aged 9 months in 500 litre barrels then 9 months in vats.
Analysis: Alcohol 12% - Residual sugar: 1g/L.
